On this week's Orcs Must Die! 2 Weekly Challenge, we discover the glory of electricity and skeletons. Specifically, the Bone Amulet and Polymorph Ring make their first appearance in a particularly well-crafted map.
I'm here to share my past work, talk about video games, board games and whatever else strikes the mind.

Ravaged video review

Coming fresh off of a successful Kickstarter buffer, Ravaged is the brainchild of indie studio 2 Dawn Games, which is comprised of such industry veterans as Joe Halper. Hoping to distinguish itself from the games it drew heavy inspiration from, it's clear Ravaged contains some truly ambitious and competitive design. Blending the notable open-field combat of Battlefield with the post-apocalyptic environments and vehicles of Mad Max, the world of Ravaged will welcome you openly... with a respawn. Great as it sounds on paper, Ravaged is a ramshackle, stripped-down version of those games that helped inspire it.

Orcs Must Die! 2: Weekly Challenge - Polar Bear Crossing
If there's one thing that's scarier than any kind of orc, it'd have to be a bear. Fortunately, Orcs Must Die! 2 doesn't have any bears but thankfully the bear traps work pretty well on the mangy orcs. Sound strange? Welcome to the 10th challenge map!

Orcs Must Die! 2: Weekly Challenge - Into The Void

Fun as these challenges are, there hasn't been one that's provided a significant slap to the face... until now. Without a doubt, the Into The Void map is the toughest of the challenges and we'll show you how to survive the onslaught of orcs. Kinda.

Orcs Must Die! 2: Weekly Challenge - Mine The Gap

FTL (Faster Than Light) video review

FTL is one of those games that's ostensibly simple, but given enough time ends up doing far more than you ever thought possible. Being part of the rogue-like genre, it's as unforgiving as it is exciting and that's a part of the reason why it's so damn addictive. If you're into random events, permanent decisions and strategic combat in space, there's little reason to avoid Subset's impressive showpiece.

Orcs Must Die! 2: Weekly Challenge - Ice Valley

There seems to be a great deal of valleys in this game and all of them are susceptible to the elements. Unlike the earlier Fire Valley challenge which had all manner of fire-based traps and minions, Ice Valley is sparse with equipment, but hey, they don't call it a weekly challenge for nothing... right?

Orcs Must Die! 2: Weekly Challenge - Hammer Time

Our sixth weekly challenge map takes us to a faraway land in which massive hammers, tar and healing bracelets are the only way to let loose. C'mon in and watch as the War Mage makes short work of those nasty, nasty Orcs - kobolds too!

Orcs Must Die! 2: Weekly Challenge - Traps are so Cool

Over the past two weeks we've been subjected to Sorceress filled challenges with little to no traps at our disposal. This week we go back to the War Mage and make up for the lack of traps with a map called, Traps are so Cool. You know they are.

This Mark of the Ninja trailer is full of ninjas and... Ninja Gaiden boxart?

To celebrate Mark of the Ninja's release, Klei Entertainment has produced a never before seen trailer that gives a little background to the premise of the game. Something about ninjas and a toxin in a plant that gives you superpowers. While that's totally rad, I'm having a hard time averting my eyes from that striking Ninja Gaiden photo. Yeah, you should definitely check this game out.
Watch indie developers smash a car while also promoting their game

It's not often you get to meet the crew of a full indie studio, but it's even rarer to actually witness said studio coming together to demolish a vehicle. Why? The better question is... why not?

Razing with RaiderZ: Episode 4

It's time for another episode of Razing with RaiderZ and this episode focuses on the lush environment of Rengot Village. Beautiful as it may look, the area is filled with the game's first real tough monsters. If you can make it to the end though, you're rewarded with a monstrous boss fight, something you've got to see to believe!

Orcs Must Die! 2: Weekly Challenge - Fire Valley

It's the second week for the Orcs Must Die! 2 weekly challenge and you know what that means... a healthy dosage of orc slaying, that's what! Having survived the first encounter rather gracefully, it appears this time around Robot Entertainment has set us up with a map doused in flames. Funny - that's exactly how I enjoy my orc.
