Welcome to the portfolio of yours truly!

Check out my professional portfolio here!

My name is Andrew Whipple III, former video gaming journalist extraordinaire! This here Blogger page allows me to throw all my work into one, easy to reach place. If not for your benefit to observe all my work, than for myself to help showcase a sort of portfolio composed of nothing but incredibleness.

You'll see names to the right of this post and they represent the places I've written for. By clicking on any of them, you'll be taken to a repository of all my work for that specific website. I've even taken the liberty to organize it all but some of the work has been taken down, images purged, etc. I was able to save most of it but not all. Hurray? Hurray!

Ravaged video review

Coming fresh off of a successful Kickstarter buffer, Ravaged is the brainchild of indie studio 2 Dawn Games, which is comprised of such industry veterans as Joe Halper. Hoping to distinguish itself from the games it drew heavy inspiration from, it's clear Ravaged contains some truly ambitious and competitive design. Blending the notable open-field combat of Battlefield with the post-apocalyptic environments and vehicles of Mad Max, the world of Ravaged will welcome you openly... with a respawn. Great as it sounds on paper, Ravaged is a ramshackle, stripped-down version of those games that helped inspire it.

Orcs Must Die! 2: Weekly Challenge - Polar Bear Crossing

If there's one thing that's scarier than any kind of orc, it'd have to be a bear. Fortunately, Orcs Must Die! 2 doesn't have any bears but thankfully the bear traps work pretty well on the mangy orcs. Sound strange? Welcome to the 10th challenge map!

This time-lapsed video showcases what you can expect from the tool and should have you every bit excited as we are right now. Hey! No drooling!

GOG.com offering 'pay what you want' for entire Interplay catalog right now

During today's live conference on GOG.com, it was revealed that for a limited amount of time every Interplay game on the site will be available for a 'pay what you want' price. Much like what we saw from Larian's Divinity series, you better act now before this deal is gone.

5 reasons why Gears of War: Judgment will disappoint (and 5 reasons it won't)

Being one of the most storied franchises of this generation, Gears of War is the very definition of ambition. Having several books, their own toy-line, a devoted fan-base and three solid games with a fourth on the way, Epic Games' blockbuster series has achieved every bit of success it's deserved. However, as important as Gears is, it's not without its glaring faults. Being fanatical Gears junkies ourselves, we're not so sure about Gears of War: Judgment. To play our point in as fair of a way as possible, we've compiled a comprehensive list of five solid reasons why Judgment is a bad idea, but with five more reasons why it's helping the series. So what are you waiting for? Let's do this!
