GOG.com and CD Projekt RED had quite a few exciting announcements today. While most people are probably already over on GOG.com buying up Interplay titles for whatever they'd like to pay, CD Projekt RED unveiled the power of their new mod tool, REDkit. This time-lapsed video showcases what you can expect from the tool and should have you every bit excited as we are right now. Hey! No drooling!
REDkit demonstration
Using the REDengine, which was specifically designed to create The Witcher 2: Assassin's of Kings, REDkit will allow modders full capability to do what they will in a living, breathing world. The tool also features the ability to mod the full Witcher 2 game, which in itself is an exciting prospect.
REDkit is currently in closed beta and will be available for free during the first-half of 2013 and to those who own a copy of The Witcher 2. All I know, is that I'm expecting some amazing mods and other things to come out of this incredible looking toolset.
